Selitë, Tirana: what to know
Selitë lies on the south-western hills of Tirana. The area has been developed with new residences and apartment blocks and offers more quiet than the centre.
Where it is
Selitë is about 2.5 km south-west of Skanderbeg Square and is divided into Selita e Madhe and Selita e Vogël. It borders Komuna e Parisit at the outer ring road.
What is in the area
At the edge of the area, towards the Grand Park, is the Botanical Garden of Tirana, about 15 hectares, laid out between 1964 and 1971. Kodra e Diellit lies on the hillside.
Transport
Two bus lines arrive here from the other side of the city: Allias–Selitë and Allias–Kodra e Diellit.
Housing and history
Kodra e Diellit is mainly villas and family houses, and in recent years apartment complexes have been added. Selitë was a village of the former Farkë commune.
