Rruga 5 Maji is in the north of Tirana; it starts from Rruga e Dibrës, near Medreseja, and runs towards the Tirana river.

Rruga 5 Maji is about 2 km north of Skanderbeg Square, in the area of the former Dinamo factory. The street is the boundary between Administrative Units no. 8 and no. 4, and the Tirana river runs to its north.

Transport

The Tregu Dinamo–Sharrë bus line starts here. A new road about 1 km long, with cycle lanes, links the area to Bulevardi i Ri.

Until a few years ago the area had low houses with yards, built after 1990. From 2021 they were demolished to build the new “Tirana Riverside” district, designed by the architect Stefano Boeri. By February 2025, 428 apartments had been handed to families, among them families affected by the 2019 earthquake.
